Cut the paper to the size of the scrapbook page. Glue the paper over the page to create a new background color. 4. Be creative in the way you cut the paper. Try tracing the page shape on acetate with the pen to make a clear pattern to use for cutting paper at odd angles. Cover the outside of the notebook by wrapping a piece of felt or colored paper around the entire notebook and gluing it in place. Be sure to trim the felt or paper to fit with the notebook closed, not open, as additional fabric is needed to cover the spiral binder when the notebook is closed.
